TERMS & CONDITIONS

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

No deposit is taken at the time of booking but valid card details are required to complete the booking process. Around 1 week prior to arrival we will pre-authorise the full payment on the card and contact you should there be any issues with this to get up to date card details.  Full payment is then due on arrival at Atholl House. Payment can be made by card or cash at the premises. Receipts will be emailed or can be printed on request.

ARRIVAL

Check in is between 4pm and 9.00pm. Please contact us for earlier arrivals and we will do our best to accommodate if this is possible on the date requested. We cannot accommodate late check-ins- the hotel door is locked shortly after final check in time. Should an on-the-day emergency occur you need to call us and inform us as soon as possible- we will try to help if possible- if we can there will be a £50 fee for check in before midnight. Anyone not arriving by 21:30 to check in without contacting us will not be able to access the hotel. 

Departing guests are kindly asked to vacate their rooms by 10.30am. Later check out may be possible by prior arrangement for an additional fee. We are happy to store luggage for later collection.

CHILDREN

Extra beds or cots cannot be placed in any of the rooms. and we cannot accommodate any extra guests in any room. We can accommodate children aged 12 and over and can try to provide adjacent rooms where available for families but cannot guarantee this - please note that we do not have any rooms where there is an adjoining door so do consider whether this is appropriate for your family's needs. Please contact us by phone if you wish to request adjacent rooms and we will help where possible. We do not accept children aged under 12. 

PAYMENT FOR INCIDENTALS

We pre-authorise you payment card around a week prior to arrival and are able to accept payment for incidentals by cash, credit and debit cards before departure. 

CANCELLATION

A reservation, whether by online, letter, e-mail, fax or telephone, is a legally binding contract. To protect against late cancellation and guests not turning up, we are obliged to put the following policy into place. If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the first night's stay will be due. In any circumstances, in the event of a no show (on arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged. The proprietor is entitled to charge the customer's credit or debit card. By making a booking, you accept our terms & conditions and cancellation policy. If you need to cancel a booking then please contact us as soon as possible. We strongly advise taking out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

CANCELLATION BY US

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any balance payment made. Where possible, please provide a mobile contact number in case of emergency.​

DAMAGE / BEHAVIOUR

An awkward topic but... any damage in the accommodation caused by misuse (such as smoking or preparation of foods) or carelessness, will be charged to the credit or debit card provided along with any lost rental night/s associated with this. The material cost involved will be decided by a quote from the appropriate repair service or by mutual agreement to return the accommodation to its original standard. Damage to a accommodation can have costs ranging from inconveniencing pre-booked guests through to not being able to relet the accommodation for an undetermined time. For the comfort of others, boisterous and rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated and if necessary, disruptive guests will be asked to leave. We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any guest whose conduct is detrimental to the comfort of others.

LIABILITY

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions. 

​PETS

We are unable to accommodate pets in our guest rooms except assistance dogs. 

ACCESSIBILITY

Atholl House is an old building with steps to the entrance. Most of our bedrooms are upstairs on the 1st floor with limited ground floor availability. The building does not have a lift. If you require a ground floor room please call us to request this subject to availability but please be aware that there are steps to reach the front door.

BOOKINGS

All bookings made with us are a minimum 2-night stay unless our booking system shows otherwise. Any bookings made with the intention of staying fewer nights than booked and cancelling remaining dates upon arrival will still incur the full amount for the booked period. Please do not book any rooms if this is your intention. There are no facilities to add additional beds or cots to the rooms. If you arrive with more people than the 1 or 2 booked into the room you will not be admitted and you will be charged for the full booked period.

SMOKING

In accordance with Scottish law smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. Guests found to be infringing this policy will be asked to leave. Should a room need cleaning due to smoking, a further charge equivalent to one nights accommodation tariff will be applicable.

PARKING

Guest parking is available and guests' vehicles are parked entirely at their own risk.
